Sinpasdok Kalbar

The Ministry of Environment and Forestry through the Directorate of Planning and Establishment of Forest Management Areas (RPPWPH) conducted a training on operating and updating a new spatial information system related to Forest Management Units (Sinpasdok KPH) on 15-16 November in Pontianak, West Kalimantan. The training aims to disseminate the Application of Sinpasdok KPH+ as the new innovation in managing and updating data that is operated by Forest Management Unit (KPH) managers and controlled  at central level. The event, supported by GIZ, was attended by 50 participants representing forestry agencies in West Kalimantan, including forest management units (KPH), provincial forestry services and technical implementation units of the Ministry of Environment and Forestry.

During his speech, the Head of the West Kalimantan Provincial Forestry Service emphasizes the commitment for establishing successful, independent and advanced Forest Management Units. Furthermore, he suggested to use Sinpasdok as information media to support forest management implementation at the site level.
