Biodiversity

Biodiversity is a variety of living thing which exist in the ecosystems. The higher the biodiversity means the higher diversity and its ecological value.

Pyramid of the food chain depicts natural number of the population of living thing linked to the food chain. The bottom of the pyramid has the highest of the population

The biodiversity of Peat Swamp Forest has 170 species of trees, 50 types of Mammalian, bushes, grass, herb folia, 80 types of fishes and birds and poultry 150 types.

Protected Fauna

Fauna is protected by the Government of Indonesia (GoI). It is governed by the Regulation of Wildlife 1931, Agricultural Minister Decree No.716/Kpts/Um/10/1980 Jakarta 4 October 1980 and Government Regulation RI No. 7 year 1999 dated 27 January 1999.
